Our favourite Australia Day events, Great Australian Bites and Country on Kershaw are set to take place, rain, hail or shine with the move to Rockhampton Showgrounds this Friday, January 26th.
Due to anticipated weather conditions, Rockhampton Regional Council's Australia Day events have been relocated undercover at the Rockhampton Showgrounds, Robert Schwarten Pavilion, ensuring celebrations proceed regardless of the weather.
Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said irrespective of the location, Country on Kershaw will deliver a sensational line-up of talent, headlined by rising country sensation Cassidy-Rae, and supported by incredible local acts Zac Cross Band, Tony Cook Band, Louise James FX, Kate Mahood and Rachael Dee.
"Starting at 3pm, Great Australian Bites promises a true-blue Aussie experience with country music, delicious food, bustling markets, games, inflatable obstacle courses, and face painting. We hope to see the community come out and enjoy a great afternoon on Australia Day."
