The City asks community members not to attend council facilities for a test if they are unwell.
Mayor Trent Sullivan
The community has been enthusiastic in its support of the program.
I'm pleased to report that we have enough free RATs to continue to meet this remarkable demand, so I encourage residents to take advantage of the program before it wraps up.
Our staff have received such positive feedback from community members collecting the RATs, in particular those who are testing regularly due to vulnerable loved ones and are finding this cost prohibitive.
Councillor Ron Nelson
Community members don't need to meet any eligibility requirements to pick up free RATs.
After selecting a book at the library, exercising at one of our recreation centres or speaking to our friendly Customer Service staff, why not collect some free RATs while you're there
Residents can take up to two kits per person plus up to two for each household member and those with a disability or their carer can collect up to four packets of tests.
