STATUS: GOING - A fire which is spreading on one or more fronts. Effective containment strategies are not in place for the entire perimeter.
RISKS FACED BY PEOPLE IN THE AREA: Smoke from this fire may affect visibility, active fire may occur close to the roadside, Firefighting crews may be working close to the roadside.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: The Fire is currently heading in a Westerly direction; crews will be conducting back burning operations in the Larapinta Drive area to contain the fire. Spark and embers maybe visible ahead of the fire front. The roads are narrow, if towing a vehicle, it will be very difficult to turn around. Ensure to slow down and put your vehicles headlights on.
Tomorrow the winds will be strengthening, it is expected the winds will be North, North Westerly, pushing the fire in a South Easterly direction.
