Minister for Trade, Business and Asian Relations Robyn Cahill will lead a delegation to Singapore to further strengthen ties and promote investment opportunities.

The delegation will promote opportunities in the Northern Territory's digital economy and strengthen ties with key tech stakeholders in Singapore.

The delegation travelled to Singapore on the inaugural Qantas Darwin-Singapore flight.

Minister for Trade, Business and Asian Relations Robyn Cahill said Singapore was an important strategic partner for business and investment to the Territory.

"The Northern Territory is a dynamic and forward-thinking region that presents a wealth of opportunities for Singaporean businesses and institutions looking to test, refine and scale their innovations in a real-world environment," said Ms Cahill.

"With its strategic location in Asia, Darwin is poised to be a cornerstone of global digital connectivity, not only serving as a gateway for Australia but also reinforcing regional security and economic stability and paving the way for a secure, resilient and interconnected future.

"Our government is progressing engagement with Singapore's thriving technology and research sectors to create a shared future of digital growth and sustainability.

"This is an exciting time for the Territory as we strengthen our international relationships and build the foundations for a thriving digital economy."

The delegation ties in with the Finocchiaro CLP Government's commitment to 2025 being a year of action, certainty and security.

It also links in with the CLP's Rebuilding the Economy Strategy 2025-2028, which is an action plan to drive economic growth, create jobs, and restore confidence in the Territory's future.
