Singapore Symposium Explores Asia-Pacific Creativity

RMIT and LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore recently co-hosted the Imaging Pasts and Futures: Creative Digital Practices in the Arts symposium.

The two-day event was held in Singapore and brought together artists, designers, academics, creatives, key thought-leaders and practitioners.

Through a series of panel discussions and keynote presentations the symposium examined how new technologies are being used by artists, designers and creative practitioners to interpret and transform knowledge systems and cultural narratives.

Keynotes were delivered by Dr Christian Thompson AO, Artist and RMIT Adjunct Industry Associate Professor, and 伍韶勁 Kingsley Ng, Artist and Associate Professor at the Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University.

The symposium also featured presentations from researchers and artists from across the region including Singapore, Australia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, China and Indonesia.
