A Victorian man is struggling to sleep after winning a staggering $1.3 million, his share of the weekend's TattsLotto draw, where the top prize was a cool $5 million.
The Craigieburn resident held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4511, drawn Saturday 12 October 2024. Each division one winning entry looks forward to $1,290,825.58.
So far in 2024, there have been 31 major lottery wins in Melbourne’s north region, which have collectively taken home more than $38.76 million in prize money.
The gleeful man said he couldn’t help but pinch himself, yet was fearful he’d ‘wake up and discover it was all just a dream’.
“I’m on cloud nine. I can’t believe it!” he exclaimed.
“I feel like I’m trying to wake up from a dream – so surreal.
“I’ve been playing these numbers for 20 years. They consist of birthdates and anniversary dates. I can’t believe they’ve finally come up!
“I checked the ticket on Saturday night, and I was in complete shock. I haven’t had any sleep for two whole nights but it’s a good feeling!
“Family is our priority, and we’ll be helping them out with this prize. I’m not too far off retirement, so this will be a great boost too. It will allow us to sit back and live the life we want.
“We will squeeze in a fun holiday too.
“Hopefully I get a better sleep tonight!”
His winning entry was purchased at Craigieburn Lotto, Shop 27, 32-38 Craigieburn Road, Craigieburn.
Craigieburn Lotto manager Rose Irgat said the winning moment felt ‘electrifying’ as she couldn’t believe she had helped change someone’s life.
“It’s nice knowing $1.2 million has gone to someone in our community, and we were a part of their dream coming true!” she joyfully exclaimed.
“It feels absolutely amazing and electrifying. We often see familiar faces come through, all beaming with hope, and it's very likely our winner was one of them!

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4511 on 12 October 2024 were 8, 2, 21, 45, 10 and 28, while the supplementary numbers were 27 and 30.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4511 – two in Victoria, and one each in New South Wales and Western Australia.
