Brimbank Divisional Response Unit detectives have arrested six males following a string of alleged home invasions and carjackings in Melbourne's northwest earlier this week.
It is alleged that a group of offenders, using edged weapons, made demands for victim's vehicles on Gillespie Drive in Weir Views, Featherwood Drive in Aintree and Sheila Mews in Darley.
The incidents took place between 11pm on Saturday 2 November and 12.20am on Sunday 3 November.
No one was physically injured.
It is alleged that the same group of offenders attended a residential property on Cooloongup Crescent in Harkness about 2am.
Once inside, the offenders allegedly threatened one of the residents with a gun and edged weapons.
The group allegedly caused significant damage inside the home before fleeing the scene.

It is alleged that the same offenders, armed with firearms and edged weapons, forced entry into a property on Turpentine Road in Brookfield a short time later.

No one was physically injured during the incident and the vehicle was recovered by police a short distance away.
Investigators from the Brimbank Divisional Response Unit executed search warrants across Melbourne's north-western suburbs on Thursday 7 November.
Police arrested a 19-year-old Taylors Lakes man and five boys, aged 14, 15, 15, 16 and 17-years-old.
Officers seized weapons and clothing.
The 17-year-old was charged with aggravated home Invasion, aggravated carjacking, assault, criminal damage and weapons offences.
He was remanded to appear before a children's court at a later date.
The Taylors Lakes man and the remaining boys are expected to be charged at a later date.
