Six people were lucky to escape serious injury after the car they were travelling in rolled and caught fire outside Mallala overnight, according to SA Police.
About 3.30am on Wednesday 5 April, the Holden Commodore station wagon was travelling along Redbanks Road towards Gawler and was about 4.5 km outside Mallala when it lost control, slid sideways into a tree, rolled and became airborne. The six occupants, all adults, were able to get out of the car before it caught alight.
Three of the occupants sustained minor injuries and were taken to the Mallala Hospital.
The investigation into the crash is continuing.
