Police have charged six teens after an alleged break and enter on the state's Central Coast today.
About 2.30am (Saturday 8 February 2025), police were called to a home in Brooker Bay, following reports of a break and enter.
Officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District arrived and were told six teens had allegedly broken into the home before being chased out by the homeowner.
During the chase police were told a teenager produced a machete and threatened the homeowner before continuing to flee the scene.
Police immediately commenced an investigation into the incident, and following initial inquiries located a group of young people hiding in bushes on Booker Bay Road.
The group attempted to flee from police; however, they were all arrested, with four teenage boys found hiding under a wharf and two teenage girls being found nearby. They were all taken to Gosford Police Station.
The four boys – aged 14, 15, 13 and 16 – and the two girls – both aged 14 – were all charged with aggravated enter dwelling with intent knowing people there.
The 14-year-old boy was refused bail to appear before Children's Court today, while the other five teens were granted conditional bail to appear before Children's Court on Friday 7 March 2025.
