Skilling Pathways Grants Boost Jobs, Training

NT Government

The Skills NT - Skilling Pathways grant round is now open!

The grant round provides funding for registered training organisations, peak bodies, industry and community associations to support Territorians on their employment journey and break the cycle of unemployment.

This year, a funding pool of $800,000 is available, with eligible organisations able to apply for a grant up to $200,000. The grant round will support programs designed to improve access to skilled training for equity groups and young Territorians, providing them with opportunities to secure employment or develop the skills necessary to obtain full employment.

The grant will help remove barriers to skilled training for disadvantaged groups, including people with a disability, long-term unemployed migrants, refugees, and mature-aged workers aged 45 years and over, and those who have been unemployed for extended periods.

The grant can be used to assist Territorians to upskill or reskill, or prepare them to gain traineeships and apprenticeships, particularly in high demand roles and industries including tourism, defence, agribusiness, gas and mining sectors.

Grant applications that demonstrate collaboration between registered training organisations, peak bodies, and industry associations are especially encouraged.

Applications for the Skills NT - Skilling Pathways grant round close on 21 March 2025. All applications are to be submitted via the GrantsNT website https://grantsnt.nt.gov.au/
