- Father Christmas is giving his reindeer a week off and catching the train instead!
- The Santa Express runs on a different line on Queensland Rail's South East Queensland (SEQ) rail network each day from 16-20 December.
- Queensland Rail has released the timetable for this year's Santa Express - with Santa also stopping off at stations along the way.
Make special Christmas memories by jumping onboard the Santa Express for a magical journey with Santa Claus and his elves, from 16-20 December.
There will be plenty of opportunities to snap a photo with the man in the red suit as well as candy canes for all.
From Beenleigh to Shorncliffe, Ipswich to Doomben, Santa will be travelling across the SEQ rail network in the lead up to Christmas.
The Salvation Army band will also be bringing Christmas cheer to Central station with your favourite Christmas carols being played 7-8.30am between 16-20 December.
For detailed information on Santa's movements, including his scheduled station visits, visit this link or keep an eye on Queensland Rail's Facebook page.
As stated by Queensland Rail Head of SEQ Neil Backer:
"If you're catching the train, you might just spot a very special visitor who's travelled all the way from the North Pole.
"We love sharing the festive cheer and we know the Santa Express, which has been running for more than a decade now, is a much-loved tradition for many of our customers.
"The Santa Express will operate on a different line each day and stopping at several stations, meaning children can give him their Christmas wish list in person.
"To stay on the nice list, make sure you tap on and off with a valid go card, or use a credit/debit card or device, as normal 50 cent fares apply."
