Police have taken a 36-year-old man into custody today after he absconded from a private residence in Penguin. The man was located a short distance away and was arrested without incident.
He has been charged with common assault, breach of bail and breach of interim family violence order. The man has been detained in police custody to appear at the Devonport Magistrates Court tomorrow.
