Head to the George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens this weekend to snap up a blossoming bargain at the annual plant sale.
Run by the Friends of the Darwin Botanic Gardens, the plant sale is a fantastic opportunity to replenish your garden ahead of the wet season.
George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens Events Coordinator, Nigel Walsh, said the nursery is bursting at its seams.
"The plants are all locally grown and suited to the Top End climate. They are propagated in the Friends' nursery area from material donated by members and from the Gardens itself," Mr Walsh said.
"With many plants ranging between $5-10, it is the perfect opportunity for anyone starting out."
Peter Knibbs from Friends of the Darwin Botanic Gardens said to tell your friends, bring the family and don't forget your wheelbarrows!
"Make sure you come and grab some amazing plants at bargain prices, knowing that your money will go towards making the Gardens even more beautiful."
The plant sale will take place at Friends' Nursery on Sunday 3 November from 8:00am until 12:00pm. Use the Gardens' Geranium Street entrance and parking to get to the nursery. Cash or EFTPOS is available for plant purchases.
Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Snakebean Community Gardeners.
