The spring weather may be warming, but it's the region's biggest bargain-hunting season yet that's really heating up here in the Snowy Monaro.

With more than three weeks still to go until the 2024 Garage Sale Trail returns for two big weekends on 9–10 and 16–17 November 2024, savvy local sellers have already registered 21 sales across the region. Now Council is joining the fun with six sales of our own this November.

Registrations for stall holders are open for the popular second-hand group sale events in Jindabyne on Saturday 9 November and Cooma on Saturday 16 November.

These two latest events join Council's roster of other sales already scheduled over the two weekends.

Cooma Library is holding a second-hand book sale on both Saturdays, and our ScrapMart tip shops in Bombala, Cooma and Jindabyne are joining in this celebration of the circular economy with sales set for both weekends.

All events are free for the community to attend. If you'd like to book a free seller's stall at either of Council's group sale events – act now so you don't miss out. Bookings are open for both events and they're going fast.

Visit https://qrco.de/JindySale for Jindabyne stall bookings, or https://qrco.de/CoomaSale to book your stall in Cooma.

No matter whether you're looking to clean out the clutter this spring, or if you're just hungry for a feast of the finest second-hand finds the Snowy Monaro has to offer – the return of the Garage Sale Trail for 2024 has you covered.

Visit www.garagesaletrail.com.au to see what sales are on near you and start planning your personal shopping odyssey across the region this November.

If all of this has you keen to secure some of your own spring spending money, the official website at www.garagesaletrail.com.au is the place to go to register a sale. You can host on your own, or even band together with your neighbours and organise a group sale in your street or neighbourhood.

We're looking forward to the two fantastic weekends of second-hand shenanigans on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November and Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November 2024 right across the Snowy Monaro. We'll see you on the trail and wish you happy hunting.
