South Brisbane's junior police give back to the community

On Friday November 23, a group of officers from the South Brisbane District came together and took up the challenge to give back to the community through the annual QPS Commissioners Gift Drive, Queensland Police say.

For the past 26 years, the QPS has come together at Christmas time to donate new toys for children who are at-risk or disadvantaged over the holiday period.

Officers from South Brisbane took the opportunity to show their children what giving back looks like, and brought their kids along, kitted out in their junior police officers.

The kids were greeted by the Commissioner and the Honourable Mark Ryan, Minister for Police, at Police Headquarters, before making their way to the hand-made sleigh where they were able to drop off their gifts for children in need.

Thank you to all officers from South Brisbane who took time out of their days to ensure their community has a merry Christmas.
