Traffic Enforcement Group South officers are seeking information regarding a crash in South Lake last night, Friday 26 August 2022.
About 6:15pm a Toyota Camry was being driven east on South Lake Drive. At the same time an unlicensed off-road motorcycle was being ridden north on Elderberry Drive. The two vehicles collided with each other at the intersection of the two roads.
It is believed the motorcycle was only being ridden on the rear wheel in the time leading up to the crash, and upon impact the front end of the motorcycle impacted on the front-right corner of the vehicle.
Both vehicles received significant damage and were seized for further examination.
The 17-year-old male rider of the motorcycle was taken by St John Ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.
The 23-year-old male driver of the Toyota Camry was treated for shock at the scene, however was not physically injured and did not need to be taken to hospital.
