Police have arrested a 27-year-old man using stop sticks after he was allegedly seen driving at speeds of up to 150km/h.
The Holden Commodore was seen driving erratically and at high speeds along Point Cook Road in Point Cook shortly after 2am.
The vehicle was monitored by police on the ground and guided from above by the Air Wing as it made its way to Melton.
Stop sticks were deployed on Exford Road, successfully puncturing a tyre and causing the vehicle to come to a stop shortly after 2.30am.
The Werribee man is expected to be charged with a string of dangerous driving offences, speeding and driving while unlicensed.
Police will also impound his ute, which it's alleged was not registered, had false registration plates and was unroadworthy.
