Albany Detectives are seeking information to assist with their investigation into the assault of a man in Spencer Park on Sunday, 22 August 2021.
Around 4.25pm, a man was in the backyard of a residence on Discovery Drive when two unknown men climbed over a fence and into the yard. One offender was armed with a machete and the other a baseball bat.
The men assaulted the 20-year-old victim before fleeing back over the fence. The victim received a deep laceration to his hand and other wounds to his back. The victim was taken to the Albany Health Campus for treatment and he will be transferred to a Perth hospital for specialised surgery to his hand.
The offenders were wearing dark clothing, approximately 180cms tall, with slim to medium builds. One was fair skinned and the other dark skinned.
