The longstanding partnership between Commonwealth Games Australia (CGA) and Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) will continue at Glasgow 2026, with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed that commits the Australian Team to upholding integrity in sport.
The agreement will see the delivery of sport integrity education for Team Members, the development of policies and frameworks that protect the integrity of competition and promotes safety in sport.
CGA CEO Craig Phillips AM welcomed the ongoing collaboration, building on successful partnerships at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and Trinbago 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games.
"Success in Glasgow will be a team effort, and we recognise the value that strong partnerships across the sports system play," Phillips said.
"Sport Integrity Australia has and continues to be at the forefront of safeguarding fairness in sport, and their expertise will play a key role in preparing our athletes and staff for 2026.
"By working together, we're ensuring our Team Members have the best possible support in integrity and education, helping them perform at their best and represent the green and gold with pride."
Glasgow 2026 Chef de Mission Petria Thomas OAM reinforced the importance of this support in fostering a strong and united team.
"Education, and integrity on and off the field are essential for success," Thomas said.
"Sport Integrity Australia's expertise will help our athletes and staff to develop the knowledge and confidence they need to navigate the pressures of elite sport. This partnership will strengthen our Team, support a positive experience for all involved and enhances the overall chance for our athletes to succeed in Glasgow."
SIA Acting CEO Dr Sarah Benson PSM welcomed the announcement of the partnership, emphasizing the critical role integrity and education play in supporting Australian athletes on the world stage.
"Integrity is regarded as a positive and fully integrated functional element of team preparation and delivery at Commonwealth Games Australia, and an integral component to sustainable success," said Dr Benson.

The partnership will extend beyond Glasgow 2026, running through to the 2027 Commonwealth Youth Games, ensuring continued support for Australia's next generation of athletes.
The 2026 Commonwealth Games will be held in Glasgow, Scotland on 23 July - 2 August 2026.
The Games play a pivotal role in Australia's high-performance pathway, with 46% of Australian athletes making their international debut at the Games and more than half of Commonwealth Games medallists going on to medal at subsequent international competitions.
Australia topped the medal tally at Birmingham 2022 with 180 medals, including 67 gold, 57 silver and 56 bronze, edging out England who claimed a total of 176 medals and 57 gold.
The Australian Commonwealth Games Team aspires to be the number one nation in terms of gold medals won, overall medals won, medallists, and the number of sports winning medals at the Games, while embracing Australia's High Performance Strategy WinWell, which emphasises that how we win is just as important as when we win, by competing, training, and succeeding in safe and fair environments.
The 2026 Games will be the 23rd edition of the major multi-sport competition, which first began in Hamilton, Canada in 1930.
