Sport Integrity Australia has welcomed the World Anti-Doping Agency's (WADA) appointment of a special prosecutor to review the processes relating to the swimming contamination matter in the lead-up to the Tokyo Olympics.
Sport Integrity Australia CEO David Sharpe had called on WADA to initiate an independent review of the regulatory framework and processes applied.
Mr Sharpe said he hopes this review will provide clarity and ensure faith is maintained in the global anti-doping system in the lead-up to the Paris Olympics and Paralympics.
