Residents can drop off their 'end of life' textiles including clothing, bed linen, tablecloths and scrap fabric for free at the upcoming Textiles Drop-off event!
All the textiles from the day will be sorted and either reused, repurposed or recycled, saving them from landfill
Cardinia Shire Council in partnership with SCRgroup aims to reduce landfill by providing a convenient and sustainable option for disposing of old textiles and clothing unsuitable for donation.
Whilst good quality textiles and clothing can be donated or gifted, taking 'end of life' textiles to a dedicated drop-off point helps ensure they can be reused or turned into something new, instead of ending up in landfill.

- Location: IYU Recreation Reserve carpark (165 Henry Road, Pakenham)
- Registration is not essential, but preferred.
Textiles will only be accepted from residential vehicles and trailers; commercial business operators cannot use this service.
Cardinia Shire's General Manager Infrastructure and Environment, Peter Benazic encourages the community to get involved.
