Yamamah Agha provides strategic leadership for all settlement programs at not-for-profit organisation Settlement Services International (SSI), which supports more than 50,00 migrants, refugees, and other vulnerable Australians to prosper each year.
With over 15 years' experience assisting new arrivals to settle in Australia, Yamamah has a strong passion for delivering social justice to refugees, migrants, and groups experiencing a period of vulnerability. She has a particular interest in women's rights and supporting and empowering refugee women and their families to reach their potential.
In 2018 Yamamah lead a delegation from SSI in Australia to Geneva, as the UNHCR-NGO Consultations Rapporteur 2018.
Yamamah was recognised for her positive impact in Australia's social sector, as winner of the 2018 Impact 25 awards.About us:
