St Albans Credit Card Theft And Deception

Police are appealing for information following a theft and deception in St Albans in December.

It is understood the offenders have scammed a woman via an online payment app.

The offenders then attended the victim's address in St Albans and stole the credit card on 3 December.

Ongoing enquiries revealed $41,000 was spent on the stolen credit card the following day.

It was used to purchase mobile phones and jewellery from stores in the Brunswick area.

Police have released images and CCTV of two men they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.

The first male is perceived to be Indian, in his mid 30s, of large build and has a two-stripe tattoo on his right forearm. He was wearing a green t-shirt, black track pants and grey Polo cap.

The second male is perceived to be Indian, also in his mid 30s and of thin build. He was wearing a black and white floral shirt, black pants and white sandals.
