A St Albans man has been charged for allegedly stealing and reselling nearly $100,000 in high end liquor and other goods.
Police believe the man targeted a specific major liquor store chain at varying locations, including Berwick, Hawthorn, Bacchus Marsh, Alphington, Ascot Vale, Doncaster, Burwood East and Mulgrave over the last several weeks.
It's alleged the man is involved in an organised syndicate where the stolen high-end liquor is then resold.
Police will allege the man has stolen at least $94,000 worth of alcohol in over a dozen thefts.
He was arrested on 8 January by officers from the Melton and Brimbank Crime Reduction Team in the St Albans area.
The 24-year-old man has been charged with multiple counts of theft.
He is being directly presented to the Sunshine Magistrates' Court today.
