Investigations continue following a stabbing on the state's central coast yesterday.
About 9.30pm (Thursday 27 February), emergency services were called to a home on Ocean Beach Road, Woy Woy, following reports of an assault.
Officers from Brisbane Water Police District were told an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the neck before he was taken to Woy Woy Train Station.
NSW Ambulance attended and located the man with a stab wound.
He was taken to Gosford Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
Following inquiries, police arrested a 24-year-old man in Wendy Drive Point, Clare a short time later, before he was taken to Gosford Police Station.
He has been released pending further investigations.
Police have established multiple crimes scenes and investigations continue.
Initial inquiries have led police to believe those involved in the incident are known to each other.
