A 51-year-old female staff member from the Protective Services Group has been charged and suspended from the Queensland Police Service, in relation to alleged traffic and weapons offences committed while off duty.
The member has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, driving while UIL, possession of liquor in a restricted area and unlawful possession of restricted items (baton and handcuffs).
The member has been suspended from the Queensland Police Service and is expected to appear before a Magistrates Court on January 17.

This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.
