Stalking Arrest In Southern Suburbs

A southern suburbs man has been arrested over stalking offences.

It will be alleged that on Wednesday 4 September, a woman contacted police to report a man had followed her to her workplace.

The victim recognised the man as someone who she had an intervention order against, preventing him from contacting her.

Police later searched the man's Happy Valley home and located further evidence of stalking and breaches of the order.

The 51-year-old Happy Valley man was charged with stalking, seven counts of contravening an intervention order and seven counts of breach of bail.

He was refused bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court today.
