Western Downs Regional Council is supporting local businesses to stand out from the crowd with a new business coaching program kicking off next month.
Stand Out in Business is offering free workshops and one-on-one consultations with WIP Creatives – a locally-based marketing company.
Western Downs Regional Council Mayor Paul McVeigh said the new program would give local businesses a leg up, with sessions covering a range of focus areas including Effective and Strategic Online Presence, Unique Selling Proposition (USP), and Optimising your Search Engine.
"Our local businesses make a huge contribution to our strong, sustainable community and this free program is about encouraging our fantastic traders to help tell their story and grow their operations," Cr McVeigh said.
"As part of Stand Out in Business, Council is partnering with locally-based marketing company WIP Creatives to help businesses focus on simple and effective strategic marketing tools to keep their operations stand out.
"We will be offering two-hour workshop sessions in Chinchilla, Dalby, Jandowae and Miles, with the first session taking place on Tuesday 31 August in Chinchilla.
"The first 30 businesses to register for the program will also receive a free one-on-one consultation to apply learnings to their specific needs and discuss in-depth outcomes.
"This is fantastic opportunity and I encourage all local businesses to take advantage of this free program."
Stand out in Business is a COVID safe program and registrations are essential.
