ABOUT THEATRE OF MAGIC: Abraca-Brisbane!

Brisbane is a city that loves magic – whether it on the stage or on the field. A show that marks 12 months of residency in Brisbane is the up-close magic phenomenon, THEATRE OF MAGIC. The only of its kind in Australia stealing #1 on Trip Advisor for theatre entertainment in South East Queensland, and one of the few dedicated magic theatres in the world.

Theatre of Magic is the creation of three of Australia's top magicians, Christopher Wayne, Josh Norbido, and Australia's Professor of Magic, "The Amazing Nigel". Christopher, a master magician, producer, and stage star, is renowned as the co-creator of the Las Vegas smash hit The Naked Magicians—the biggest Australian magic show in history—and the family magic spectacular Showmen. Joining Christopher is the acclaimed card master Josh Norbido, whose expertise has been featured in films like "Oceans 9" and "Poker Face". Completing the trio is The Professor of Magic "The Amazing Nigel", one of Australia's top corporate entertainers, known for captivating audiences worldwide with his unique blend of magic, comedy, charm, and incredible memory. Together, they are the Theatre of Magic.

To mark the 12 month anniversary, the show moved to a new home – The Library Theatre at Rydges Fortitude Valley – with two shows staged every weekend.

"Australia has nothing like this. We have found a way to bring the world's best magicians to audiences in a stunning and intimate setting, and the show just gets better and better as it changes and evolves. We have made the night all about the audience experience, and as a result we are selling out ever week. This isn't a pop up event, this is Brisbane's most magical night out," said Chris.

"Created to replicate the elegance and magic of the world famous "Magic Castle" in Los Angeles, our audience can expect an evening of magic and old school entertainment that is world class - experienced just inches away from their faces, in a wonderful 40-seat library theatre in the Bowen Hills King Street precinct, full of great bars and restaurants," he said. "When Brisbane entertainers get big, they move down south or overseas - we are bringing the best magic in the world to Brisbane's front door'.

"Brisbane has always batted well above its average in terms of being home to fantastic artists, musicians, writers and creators. There's a reason that Powderfinger, Sheppard, Joe Brumm, and washed up Vegas headliner like myself still call Brisbane home. It's because its a magical city."
