State Dept's Sison Travels to Salt Lake City

Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Michele Sison will travel to Salt Lake City and Orem, Utah, October 24-25, 2024 to commemorate United Nations Day, which marks the 79th anniversary of the UN Charter's entry into force. During her visit, Assistant Secretary Sison will give remarks at a UN Day event organized by the Utah chapter of the United Nations Association. She will also take part in programs organized by Utah Valley University in Orem and the Hinckley Institute at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. The Assistant Secretary's travel to Utah will inform American audiences about the Administration's affirmative agenda to advance peace and security, address shared challenges, and strengthen international institutions in support of a stable and open international system.
