I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Kevin Andrews, who died peacefully overnight following a year-long cancer battle.
While we were opposed on many political fronts, I respected that he always fought for his values: what you saw was what you got. He was a gentleman who wore his faith with pride. In his final term, he did excellent work chairing the Joint Committee on the NDIS on a bi-partisan basis as an experienced parliamentarian committed to the best interests of NDIS participants.
Kevin always prioritised his health, keeping very fit and a keen cyclist.
He was determined to never waste a moment. I understand he kept working right up until the end and was writing his memoirs.
My condolences to his wife Margie and family. Vale Kevin.
