Kiama Council
Kiama Council lifeguards have warned residents and visitors to stay off local beaches during the severe weather forecast for the next two days.
Council has already closed beaches and rock pools due to dangerous surf conditions and poor water quality.
However, our lifeguards are warning people to also remain clear of the actual beaches and low-lying coastal areas during this time.
The NSW Department of Environment is predicting erosion along the South Coast as a result of waves expected to reach 6 metres Wednesday night.
