Craving a caravanning and camping escape at a famous Sunshine Coast beach without roughing it?
It's time to stop and smell the salt air. Book your spot for 2021 at the upgraded Mudjimba Beach Holiday Park, with 31 existing sites now fully serviced thanks to a $620,000 Sunshine Coast Council upgrade.
Nestled between the tranquil Mudjimba Beach and Maroochy River, since the 1970s the family friendly holiday park has hosted generations of visitors soaking up the sunshine while they fish, surf, swim and shop.
Sunshine Coast Council Division 8 Councillor Jason O'Pray said he was thrilled guests would be better accommodated.
"Creature comforts matter to many caravan and camping enthusiasts and connecting sites to power, water and access roads provides an improved visitor experience," Cr O'Pray said.
"Our healthy, smart, creative region has long been a tourist drawcard and after a tough year, it's important local business and tourism providers know council is continuing to support the visitor and leisure economy."
Cr O'Pray said the Mudjimba Beach Holiday Park offered something for everyone.
"If you live locally, book in for a staycation and discover what's available right here in our own backyard.
"If you're from other parts of Queensland or Australia, you'll be welcomed by our friendly community and treated to our first-class Sunshine Coast hospitality – you'll never want to pack up and leave."
Your paw-fect companion is also invited to stay – pooches are considered by application.
The Mudjimba Beach Holiday Park upgrade includes:
- construction of 24 fully serviced slab sites (for caravans) and seven fully serviced powered grass sites (for recreation vehicles and tents)
- works to support the new sites including internal access roads, earthworks, water and sewer pipework, electrical reticulation, lighting and storm water drainage.
The Mudjimba Beach Holiday Park now offers guests 127 fully serviced slab sites, 70 fully serviced grass sites and 10 unpowered grass sites.
It also features three villas, a swimming pool, three amenities buildings, laundry facilities and free wi-fi.
Council operates six beachside holiday parks at Dicky Beach, Mooloolaba Beach, Maroochydore Beach, Cotton Tree, Mudjimba Beach and Coolum Beach.
