PCYC Coffs Harbour is welcoming a much-needed funding boost thanks to the NSW Community Building Partnership Program.

Nationals Member for Coffs Harbour, Gurmesh Singh, has congratulated the hardworking PCYC team on its successful funding application which will allow them to proceed with a priority project.

"The PCYC has been allocated $24,338 so it can purchase three movable freestanding fans for use at this popular community facility," Mr Singh said.

"The fans will certainly be a welcome relief in the warmer months for the increasing numbers of people who use the PCYC.

"The management and staff at PCYC Coffs Harbour do wonderful work in our community, particularly with our young people.

"Their aim is to empower young people 'by being better together.' The PCYC also has a wide array of activities and programs for youth and the wider community.

"I commend the team for the positive difference they are making to many young lives and I'm extremely pleased they've received this funding."

The PCYC project is among 13 local initiatives across the Coffs Coast funded in this round of the Community Building Partnership Program.
