Stolen car charges at Toowoomba

Police have charged a 38-year-old man following an alleged stolen car incident in Glenvale last night, June 2.

At approximately 7pm, police observed the allegedly stolen Mitsubishi Triton travelling in the vicinity of Glenvale Road.

PolAir was able to monitor the vehicle's movements.

At approximately 7.30pm, police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device in Glenvale.

The vehicle continued travelling to Drayton where it came to a stop along Anzac Avenue.

The male driver allegedly left the vehicle on foot but was arrested on Cambooya Street a short time later.

The 38-year-old Wilsonton Heights man has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and driving of a motor vehicle without a licence.

He was denied police bail and is expected to appear at Toowoomba Magistrates Court today, June 3.
