A stolen car reversed into another car and house at Tonsley overnight.
Police were called to Union Street, Tonsley just before 2am on Monday 18 November by reports that a car had crashed into another parked car and a house.
When patrols arrived, they discovered the Kio Rio sedan had been stolen during a break-in at a neighbouring property. Entry had been gained to the house through the internal garage door and the car keys and car stolen.
The stolen car reversed out the driveway and collided with a parked car and neighbour's house before driving off.
None of the residents were confronted or injured during the incident.
A short time later, a patrol noticed two figures in the distance and chased them down. One suspect, who matched the description from the break-in, was apprehended. The other suspect has not yet been located.
A 16-year-old boy from Clovelly Park was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass, theft, illegal use, property damage and failing to stop at the scene of a crash. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Christies Beach Youth Court today.
The stolen Kia was later found in Mary Street, Mitchell Park and towed away for forensic examination.
Police are also investigating multiple reports of cars broken into the area overnight. Anyone who discovers this morning that their car has been interfered with overnight should report it on the police assistance line on 131 444.
