Six teenagers have been arrested after a pursuit in a stolen car this morning.
Just after 2am Friday 15 December residents of a Crafers address awoke to noises and upon investigation discovered three people inside the property and further people outside.
The occupants shouted at the group who fled the scene in a black Mazda SUV.
Police were quickly in the area and the vehicle was spotted travelling at speed down Glen Osmond Road towards the city.
Patrols attempted to stop the car but the driver refused the vehicle was followed onto Greenhill Road where it was seen to travel on the wrong side of the road and mount the median strip.
Police called in Polair to follow from above and the vehicle was tracked into the back streets of St Morris, towards Paradise.
It continued towards Ingle Farm, Mawson Lakes, Salisbury North where it continued to travel on the wrong side of road and failed to stop at several red traffic lights.
Just after 3am the vehicle was successfully spiked on Salisbury Highway.
The vehicle came to a stop near Elder Smith Drive, Mawson Lakes and the driver and five occupants were arrested.
During the arrest the vehicle rolled forward slightly, trapping a police officers foot under the wheel. Luckily the officer did not sustain serious injuries.
A 17-year old from Hackham West, a 16 -year-old from Noarlunga Downs, a 13, 15 and 17-year old from Salisbury North, and a 16- year old from Ingle Farm have been charged with illegal use and traffic offences.
The boys from Salisbury North have been bailed to the Adelaide Youth Court on 9 February 2024.
The 17-year-old from Hackham West and the 16-year-old from Noarlunga Downs have been refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
The 16-year-old from Ingle Farm and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 7 February 2024.
The vehicle was stolen from Tea Tree Gully on 13 December.
