A firearm that was reported stolen earlier this year has been located by police in Nowra.
In February (2019), three firearms were reported stolen from a home in Pyree, south east of Nowra.
Shortly after 3pm yesterday (Sunday 3 November 2019), officers attached to South Coast Police District attended a property on Abergeldie Street, Nowra.
Police executed a search of a caravan at the rear of the property, locating a firearm underneath the kitchen seat.
The firearm was seized and sent for forensic testing.
Police inquiries are continuing and charges are expected to be laid.
