Stolen Vehicle Charges At Gold Coast 15 March

Police have charged two teenagers after a stolen vehicle traffic crash in Coomera last night, March 14.

It will be alleged a stolen silver Toyota Camry was tracked by POLAIR travelling south on the Pacific Motorway from Runcorn to Coomera, where it exited onto the Old Pacific Highway.

A crash has then occurred between the stolen Toyota Camry and a Toyota Rubuk at a roundabout near Foxwell Road and Whitewater Way.

The five occupants of the Toyota Camry, aged between 13 and 17, were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threating injuries.

The driver and sole occupant of the Toyota Rubuk was also transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threating injuries.

The silver Toyota Camry was stolen from a Balmoral address on March 10.

The alleged driver of the stolen Toyota Camry, a 15-year-old Keperra boy, has since been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, failing to provide a breath specimen, and driving without a licence.

A passenger of the stolen Toyota Camry, a 13-year-old Oxley girl, has been charged with three counts of wilful damage and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

Both teenagers have been released from hospital and are remanded in custody to appear before Southport Childrens Court on Monday, March 17.

Investigations remain ongoing.
