Stolen vehicle charges at Logan

Police have charged three teenagers following an alleged stolen car incident in the Logan area yesterday (February 15).

Police will allege around 11am officers received reports of a Hyundai Sante Fe, reported stolen from Eagleby on February 14, allegedly being driven dangerously in the vicinity of Beenleigh.

PolAir monitored the vehicle as it travelled through Kingston and Meadowbrook, eventually stopping at Demarr Court.

Five people were allegedly observed leaving the vehicle on foot.

Police attended and located the group at a nearby property, where they were all taken into custody.

A 15-year-old Beenleigh boy has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, unlicensed driving, enter dwelling and commit indictable offence, stealing and possessing dangerous drugs (cannabis).

A 16-year-old Loganholme boy has been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and enter premises and commit indictable offence.

They have been denied police bail and will appear at Beenleigh Childrens Court.

A 15-year-old Loganholme boy was dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act.

Two other boys were released without charge.
