Stolen Vehicle Charges, Toowoomba Area

Police have charged three teenagers in relation to a number of property and stealing offences in Toowoomba.

At approximately 10.45am yesterday, Toowoomba Property Crime Unit and Tactical Crime Squad (TCS) officers located two 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy, at an disused farm house on the Gore Highway at Southbrook.

It will be alleged, a stolen mini excavator and trailer were located in a shed at the property. The mini excavator was reported stolen from a storage yard of a Croft Crescent business on Saturday, July 20 around 6.30am.

Police also located a stolen Toyota Landcruiser which was allegedly stolen from a house in Brassell, Ipswich on Wednesday, July 24 at about 3am.

All three boys were taken into police custody without incident and have been charged with numerous property related offences.

A 16-year-old Harristown boy has been charged with 25 charges including six counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and five counts of enter dwelling. He has also been charged with five counts of receiving tainted property and two counts each of enter premises and stealing of a vehicle and one count each of attempted enter dwelling, armed with intent to break and enter, trespassing, dangerous driving and unlicenced driving.

A 17-year-old South Toowoomba boy has been charged with 20 property offences including four counts each of burglary and unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He has also been charged with three counts each of enter premises and possession of house breaking implements and two counts each of stealing, receiving tainted property and stealing of motor vehicle.

A 16-year-old Centenary Heights boy has been charged with four counts of unlawful use of motor vehicle, three counts of possession of dangerous drug and one count each of possession of tainted property and unlicensed driving.

All three will appear in the Toowoomba Childrens Court today, July 25.
