Police have charged two people after a stolen vehicle was tracked across Brisbane's south overnight, January 26.
It will be alleged that around 7:30pm, three people gained access to a Mander Court, Wellington Point address before threatening three occupants at the address.
The occupants then proceeded to flee the property, with the three offenders proceeding to steal a black Chrysler 300 SRT and flee the area in the vehicle.
Emergency services were notified a short time later, and the vehicle was initially sighted by officers on Old Cleveland Road, before being tracked by PolAir.
Around 9:15pm, a tyre deflation device was successfully deployed on the vehicle at Thornlands. However, the vehicle continued for some time before colliding with a traffic island on Vienna Road at Alexandra Hills.
Officers were able to take the vehicle's two occupants, a 15-year-old Wellington Point boy and a 17-year-old Victoria Point boy, into custody a short time later.
Investigations into locating any other offenders in relation to this matter are ongoing.
The 15-year-old Wellington Point boy was charged with enter dwelling and commit, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, possessing restricted items, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
The 17-year-old Victoria Point boy has been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling and commit, possessing acquiring restricted items.
They are both due to reappear in the Cleveland Childrens Court on February 7.
