Stolen Vehicle Dumped After Malvern Crash

Police are investigating a stolen vehicle crashing into a bridge in Malvern early this morning.

It is believed that a stolen black Ford Ranger crashed into a bridge on Dandenong Road just prior to Station Street about 3.30am.

The bridge was not structurally damaged.

It is believed that five people dumped the Ford and fled the scene on foot, in the direction of Station Street.

Despite a thorough search of the area, the offenders were not located.

Investigators believe that the Ford was stolen from a property in Mentone overnight.

The investigation remains ongoing.
