Police are investigating a pursuit involving a stolen vehicle occurring earlier today south of Sydney.
About 8am today (Wednesday 31 July 2024), officers attached to Lake Illawarra Traffic and Highway Patrol were traveling on Lakeview Road, Flinders, when they spotted an allegedly stolen vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
A short time later a pursuit was initiated before being terminated due to safety reasons.
About 8.55am, the car was located abandoned in an underground carpark on Cowper Street, Warrawong, where it has been seized for forensic examination.
The vehicle was allegedly stolen from a carpark on Centre Road, Mascot, on Thursday 25 July 2024.
