Stolen Vehicles, Firearm Charges in Pallara: Police Update

Police have charged a 41-year-old man with more than 30 offences after a search warrant was executed at a Pallara property on September 19.

It will be alleged the man was located by police following a traffic crash involving an alleged stolen motorcycle on Mount Lindesay Highway, North Maclean, on September 19.

The man was taken into custody at Coopers Plains on September 20.

A 41-year-old man from Pallara has been charged with 24 counts of unlawful possession of motor vehicles, two counts each of possess shortened firearms, possessing dangerous drugs, and unlawful possession of weapons Category D/H/R weapon, and one count each of possess utensils or pipes etc for use, authority required to possess explosives, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

He has also received a traffic infringement notices for exceeding the speed limit by more than 40km/h and holding a driver licence but not authorised to drive class of vehicle (Type 2).

He was remanded in custody and is expected to reappear before the Richland Magistrates Court October 21.

Investigations are ongoing.
