Due to recent heavy rainfall and storms, Council's mowing and maintenance schedule has been impacted.
Council crews are currently focusing on cleaning up storm debris including fallen trees and branches as they prioritise public safety in the wake of the storms.
In addition to rapid grass growth across the Region, wet ground conditions have made access to some areas challenging at this time.
Crews are closely monitoring these conditions and will resume mowing as soon as it is safe to operate equipment.
Residents are encouraged to be cautious when visiting open spaces and parks due to potential hazards and uneven ground conditions.
Council maintains approximately 1,000 hectares of open space, parks, and sports fields across the region. Our crews are working diligently to prioritise mowing during this busy season.
