Storytelling Traditions With Larissa Behrendt

Larissa Behrendt  Award winning author, Larissa Behrendt will be the Guest Speaker at the Hawkesbury Family History Group meeting on Wednesday 9 October 2024.

A Euahleyai / Gamillaroi woman, Larissa will talk about the way in which family stories can inspire fiction and the challenges of putting family members into your published work. She will also explore how English and First Nations traditions of storytelling can compliment. Her most recent book is 'After Story' published by UQP. Larissa is a Distinguished Professor at the University of Technology Sydney and the host of Speaking Out on ABC Radio National.

This event starts at 10am and is free. It will be held at Hawkesbury Central Library, 300 George Street Windsor, and there is no need to book.
