On 22 July 2024, NSW Fair Trading took disciplinary action against PSMG Pty Ltd trading as Professional Strata Management Group.
Disciplinary actions taken by NSW Fair Trading
- Cancelling the corporation licence of PSMG Pty Ltd (licence number 1688934) and the individual licence of the licensee in charge, Mr Whitney Hong Wang (licence number 1092361).
- Declaring both PSMG Pty Ltd and Mr Wang to be disqualified persons for the purposes of the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002 for 10 years.
On 26 July 2024, the licensees appealed to the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) for a stay of the decisions until the appeal could be determined.
On 26 July 2024, NCAT granted a stay of the decisions, effective to 5pm Thursday, 1 August 2024. NCAT will further consider the matter on 1 August 2024.
As a result, both licences are now temporarily reinstated in line with the NCAT decision.
