Police have established a strike force as investigations continue after three people were stabbed during a brawl in Walgett last year.
About 2.20am on Sunday 22 September 2024, police were called to the corner of Duff Street and Wareens Street, Walgett, following reports of a large brawl.
Officers attached to Central North Police District attended and found a large number of people fighting in the street.
Those involved fled upon police arrival.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated three people – two boys, aged 17 and a 19-year-old man – for stab multiple stab wounds before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
A crime scene was established, and investigation commenced under Strike Force Calafell.
As part of ongoing inquiries, police have released images of witnesses they are seeking to identify to assist with their inquiries.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information or footage to contact Walgett Police Station.
