Oxley Police District are appealing for information after a baby died in hospital earlier this week in the state's central north.
On Tuesday 21 January 2025, officers attached to Oxley Police District were notified of an injured four-month-old boy at Gunnedah Hospital.
The boy was transferred to the John Hunter Hospital, where he passed away later that evening.
Oxley Police District, with assistance from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad and Child Abuse Squad, have established Strike Force Monier to investigate the circumstances surrounding the child's death.
